The medical drama 'Doc' has returned to Fox for its highly anticipated second season. The series, which premiered last year, stars Molly Parker as Dr. Amy Larsen, the chief of internal medicine at the fictional Westside Hospital.
The show's central storyline follows Dr. Larsen's struggle to resume her medical career and rebuild her life after a devastating car accident left her with a traumatic brain injury. The accident caused her to lose the memory of the last eight years, forcing her to relearn her skills and reconnect with her colleagues and loved ones.
Joining the cast for Season 2 is acclaimed actress Felicity Huffman, who will play the role of Dr. Joan Ridley. Additionally, Patrick Walker (Dr. Sonya Maitra) and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim (Katia Hamda) have been promoted to series regulars after recurring in the first season.
The ensemble cast also includes Omar Metwally as Dr. Michael Hamda, Jon Ecker as Dr. Jake Heller, Amirah Vann as Dr. Gina Walker, and Anya Banerjee as Dr. Sonya Maitra. Other recurring actors include Scott Wolf as Dr. Richard Miller, Sarah Allen as Nora, and Emma Pfitzer Price as Hannah.
'Doc' is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment Studios, with Barbie Kligman serving as showrunner and executive producer. The series is based on the globally acclaimed Italian series, 'Doc - Nelle tue mani,' which was created and produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle Company.
New episodes of 'Doc' Season 2 air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
