Hague revealed in a YouTube video that the name Midas was inspired by a boxing robot from the 2011 film Real Steel. She explained that she and Fury had the name picked out for years after hearing it in the movie.
While the name Midas is also prominent in Greek mythology, known for a king whose touch turned everything to gold, Hague clarified that their son was not necessarily named after this figure. She mentioned that she liked the sound of 'Midas Fury' as a strong name.
Fury previously revealed their son's name at a boxing match in Manchester earlier this month, with 'Midas' displayed on his fight attire. Hague and Fury, who met on Love Island in 2019, also have a daughter named Bambi, born in 2023.
