26 Oct
Summary
- Akshay Kumar's 1994 film 'Mohra' is set for a 4K remastered re-release.
- The re-release is scheduled for Diwali week, clashing with 'Ramayana'.
- Other Trimurti Films classics like 'Gupt' and 'Vidhaata' will also be re-released.

The enduring trend of film re-releases continues as Akshay Kumar's action-thriller 'Mohra' is set to grace cinemas again. Trimurti Films Pvt Ltd announced the 4K remastered version of the 1994 blockbuster, with its re-release scheduled for November 6, coinciding with the Diwali week festivities. This strategic timing positions 'Mohra' for a direct clash with the eagerly awaited 'Ramayana', featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash.
Rimpy Films International, under Deepinder Singh, is handling the re-release of 'Mohra' and has hinted at bringing back several other memorable films produced by Trimurti. Audiences can anticipate re-releases of classics like 'Vidhaata' (1982), 'Tridev' (1989), 'Gupt' (1994), and 'Yudh' (1985). One cinema in Agra, Heera Talkies, will dedicate all four daily shows to 'Mohra', foregoing screenings of 'Ramayana'.
Originally released on July 1, 1994, 'Mohra' was a critical and commercial success, lauded for its ensemble cast, mass appeal, and Viju Shah's iconic music. The 4K remaster promises an enhanced viewing experience for fans eager to relive popular songs like 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast' and 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani'. However, its box office run may be impacted by the massive competition from 'Ramayana'.
