Hridayapoorvam Wraps Up Decent Run, Fails to Match Lokah: Chapter 1 Success

Mohanlal's latest film Hridayapoorvam has wrapped up its decent run at the worldwide box office. Released on August 28, 2025, the comedy drama starring Mohanlal, Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, and Sangita Madhavan Nair in key roles, has managed to earn a lifetime collection of 47.34 crore gross globally.

The film received mostly positive reviews from critics, with praise for the performances of the lead cast and the light-hearted execution. Even the audience welcomed the movie with open arms. However, Hridayapoorvam's journey was significantly impacted by the unexpected storm of Lokah: Chapter 1, which released on the same day. Lokah's insane run sidelined Mohanlal's comedy drama and grabbed the limelight, affecting its box office performance.

Nonetheless, Hridayapoorvam emerged as a success story, continuing to make fair earnings amidst the strong run of Lokah. But the film missed Mohanlal's chance of scoring a hat-trick of global centuries after the grand success of his previous release, Thudarum. The actor had to settle for a lifetime collection of 40.12 crore net at the Indian box office, which translates to 47.34 crore gross after adjusting for GST.
