The 2026 MLK Jr. Beloved Community Awards will recognize distinguished individuals and organizations for their exemplary leadership and commitment to social justice. For the first time, the ceremony will be broadcast nationally on BET on February 3rd.
Among the honorees are acclaimed actress Viola Davis, Grammy-winning artist Billie Eilish, and the LeBron James Family Foundation. Other distinguished recipients include former NFL player Warrick Dunn, Dr. Dorothy Jean Tillman, Dr. DuShun Scarbrough, Sesame Workshop, Kara Water, Cisco Systems, Inc., Mónica Ramírez, and Robert F. Smith.
Filmed in Atlanta and co-hosted by Anika Noni Rose and Aldis Hodge, the event also features musical performances by Chance the Rapper, Syleena Johnson, October London, and Goapele. The awards aim to highlight those who embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision of a Beloved Community.
