Mississippi Ignites for Fourth of July!

Mississippi is set to celebrate the Fourth of July with a multitude of events across the state, beginning on Friday, July 3rd, and extending through the holiday weekend. Many cities are organizing parades, live music performances, food trucks, and dazzling fireworks displays to mark the nation's 250th birthday.

In Natchez, festivities commence on July 3rd with a second line parade and a family festival, followed by fireworks over the Mississippi River on July 4th. Olive Branch is combining its Freedom Fest with the "Light the Way" Christian music festival. Nettleton will host its annual parade and park activities, culminating in a fireworks show. The Mississippi Mud Monsters are planning fireworks for both their July 3rd and July 4th home games.

Other notable celebrations include Ocean Springs' beachside music and fireworks, Diamondhead's block party, and D'Lo Water Park's all-day American 250 celebration. Oxford is organizing a children's parade and fireworks, while Pontotoc will feature a parade, talent show, and live music. Yazoo City's Freedom Festival promises free clothing and groceries alongside family fun and fireworks.

Tupelo is holding its 40th annual All America City Family Picnic with food trucks and music, leading up to fireworks. Meridian has booked major acts for a July 4th concert and fireworks show over the lake. Sherman will host a parade, music, and an Elvis tribute. Southaven is presenting its annual Fireworks Extravaganza with live music and food vendors.

Additional unique events include the Mississippi Aquarium's after-hours "Fins, Fireworks and Frosty Beers" in Gulfport, Vicksburg's music and fireworks, Gulfport's "Ignite the Night" fireworks, and Pascagoula's fireworks offering land and boat viewing spots with synchronized radio music.
