Mirai Box Office Plummets: Teja Sajja's Fantasy Epic Struggles to Reach 100 Crore Mark
26 Sep, 2025
Summary
- Mirai sees 70% drop in second week
- Film made on 60 crore budget, has earned 84.5 crore so far
- Unlikely to reach 100 crore club unless there's a big boost

As of September 26th, 2025, the Telugu fantasy action film Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, has faced a major setback at the Indian box office. The film, which had a promising start, has now witnessed an unexpected 70% drop in its second week of release.
In its first week, Mirai had raked in a solid 65.10 crores at the box office. However, the film's earnings have since slowed down significantly. On the second Thursday, it added just 45 lakhs to its kitty, a far cry from the 2.75 crores it had earned on the eighth day.
The film's overall net collection at the Indian box office now stands at 84.50 crores. With a budget of 60 crores, the makers have so far managed to rake in returns of 40.83%. While this can be considered a success, the film is still 15.50 crores away from the coveted 100 crore club.
Industry experts are closely watching Mirai's performance in the coming days. If there isn't a big boost during the third weekend, the fantasy action adventure may miss the 100 crore milestone altogether. The film's overseas gross currently stands at 32.5 crores, bringing its worldwide total to 132.21 crores.
Despite the recent slump, Mirai remains a success at the Indian box office. However, the makers will be hoping for a turnaround in the film's fortunes to ensure it reaches the prestigious 100 crore club before its run comes to an end.
