Sales are launching at the European Film Market for "Carlo Acutis - The Millennial Saint," a documentary about the 15-year-old who will become the Roman Catholic Church's first millennial saint in 2025. Carlo Acutis, who died in 2006, was known as 'God's Influencer' for his use of technology to spread his faith.
The film promises a close-up portrayal, featuring his thoughts and actions through interviews with his family and friends. Previously unseen photographs, private videos, and digital projects will be used, with Acutis' voice narrating his story in the first person.
"Carlo Acutis - The Millennial Saint" was made with direct family involvement and the support of the Carlo Acutis Foundation. A global theatrical event release is planned for October 2026, commemorating the 20th anniversary of his passing.
