Hollywood veterans George Kliavkoff and Jennifer Worthington are launching Military Con, a novel three-day event designed for the American military community. This convention will merge military history, extensive equipment displays, live demonstrations, gaming, and entertainment. The inaugural events are slated for San Antonio from June 4-6, 2027, and San Diego from September 4-6, 2027.
Each day of Military Con will be themed: "The Call," "The Mission," and "The Return." Attendees can expect interactive experiences inspired by real military operations, competitions, and "Hardware Alley" showcasing aircraft, vehicles, and equipment. The convention aims to delve into the history, missions, technology, and human stories across all branches of the U.S. military.
Military director Harry Humphries emphasized that Military Con is an apolitical event dedicated to honoring service members and their families. This declaration comes eight months into the U.S. war with Iran, a time when public opinion shows a desire to end the conflict. The convention's advisory board is committed to celebrating service and sacrifice, bringing Americans together to recognize the individuals behind the uniform.
