Mike Wolfe Breaks Silence on Fritz Feud

Mike Wolfe has spoken out about his friendship with the late Frank Fritz, his former American Pickers co-star. Wolfe expressed his sadness regarding the public perception of their relationship, stating that he and Fritz loved each other like brothers and considered their bond a once-in-a-lifetime friendship. The two friends conceived the idea for the History Channel show in the early 2000s and worked side-by-side to get it picked up.

Fritz left the show in 2020 for back surgery and never returned, fueling feud rumors. Fritz had claimed he was 'iced out' by Wolfe. Wolfe acknowledged Fritz's struggles with opioid addiction, which began during his recovery. He explained that he chose not to correct the feud narrative out of respect for Fritz and his battle with addiction.

Wolfe visited Fritz regularly as his health declined after a stroke in 2022, offering comfort and reminiscing about their accomplishments. Wolfe is now preparing to launch a new History Channel show, History's Greatest Picks, which he sees as a tribute to Fritz's passion and commitment, acknowledging that his own career success was built together with his friend.
