- Court orders actor to vacate property, canceling his lease agreement.
- GoFundMe controversy arose as Rourke denied knowledge of fundraiser.

Mickey Rourke has been evicted from his Los Angeles residence, where he had reportedly lived for over ten years. A court ruling on Monday granted possession of the property back to the landlord, canceling the actor's lease by default.
Previously, Rourke was ordered in December to pay $59,100 in owed rent or vacate the premises. He was seen moving out in January and has since been staying in a hotel.
Publicity surrounding Rourke's financial situation grew in January when a GoFundMe was created for him. The actor publicly denied any knowledge or involvement, stating he had too much pride to ask for charity.
His manager explained that Rourke did not initially understand the aid being offered, leading to a viral video reaction. The manager confirmed the GoFundMe funds were for Rourke, with the option to return them if he declined the help.
The actor's former home was described as unlivable due to severe disrepair, including black mold and water damage, rendering most belongings unsalvageable. Essential items were salvaged and moved to a new apartment.
Despite these challenges, Rourke has reportedly received four movie offers in a single day since his situation became public.
