Summary
- Mick Jagger joins an acclaimed cast for Alice Rohrwacher's new film.
- The film is an adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger's novel 'Three Incestuous Sisters'.
- Filming is underway on the volcanic island of Stromboli, Sicily.

Mick Jagger is set to star in Alice Rohrwacher's English-language feature, "Three Incestuous Sisters." The film adapts Audrey Niffenegger's gothic novel about three isolated sisters whose lives are disrupted by a lighthouse keeper's son. Jagger joins a cast including Dakota Johnson, Josh O'Connor, Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley, and Isabella Rossellini.
Principal photography for the buzzy film commenced in April on the volcanic island of Stromboli, off Sicily's coast. This location holds cinematic resonance, as Isabella Rossellini's parents, Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman, began their affair there in 1949 during the filming of Roberto's movie of the same title. Unconfirmed reports suggest Jagger plays the lighthouse keeper, with O'Connor as his son.
Rohrwacher, a two-time Cannes prizewinner, is producing the film alongside Indian Paintbrush and TeaTime Pictures, with Fandango serving as the Italian line producer. The production has ten weeks of shooting scheduled across Stromboli and Rome. Jagger's previous acting roles include performances in "Performance," "Freejack," and "The Burnt Orange Heresy."
