Michelle Pfeiffer Denies Retirement Rumors

Veteran actress Michelle Pfeiffer has categorically denied rumors suggesting she is retiring from her acting career. Speaking on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Pfeiffer addressed the speculation, stating that the idea of her retiring is "ridiculous."

She clarified previous comments that had been taken out of context. Pfeiffer explained that while she had mentioned not wanting to "star in another movie," this was misunderstood. Her intention was to express her enjoyment of working with ensemble casts, having recently participated in three such projects: 'Oh. What. Fun.', 'The Madison', and 'Margo'.

Pfeiffer's career, spanning over four decades, began in the 1980s with notable roles in 'Scarface' and 'Dangerous Liaisons'. She has received three Academy Award nominations and became a pop-culture icon as Catwoman in 'Batman Returns'. Most recently, she appeared in the 2025 Prime Video holiday comedy 'Oh. What. Fun.' and reprised her role as Janet Van Dyne in Marvel's 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' in 2023.
