Summary
- Emelina is the first strictly Cuban restaurant to earn a Michelin star.
- The restaurant reimagines Cuban cuisine with global techniques.
- Menus start at $275 per person for 10 courses.

West Palm Beach is celebrating a significant culinary achievement as Emelina, a 16-seat tasting-menu restaurant, has been awarded a Michelin star. This marks the first time a strictly Cuban restaurant has received this prestigious honor, bringing global attention to a cuisine not typically associated with fine dining. Emelina, which opened in early February, presents an innovative approach to Cuban dishes, blending global techniques with local ingredients.
The restaurant aims to explore what Cuban food could be with greater creative freedom and access, akin to other world cuisines. The tasting menus are priced from $275 per person for 10 courses, with an optional beverage pairing available for an additional $150. Chef-partners Osmel Gonzalez and Camila Salazar, previously recognized with a Michelin star and Green Star for their Miami concept EntreNos, collaborated with restaurateur Álvaro Perez Miranda on this venture.
