The Micheaux Film Festival is set to celebrate the next generation of Hollywood talent at its 2025 Gold Night: Young Hollywood Party. Among the honorees are Gail Bean, Adriyan Rae, Mike Merrill, Tosin Morohunfola, and Shanice Williams.
Festival co-founder Noel Braham praised the honorees, saying they "represent the brilliance and diversity driving Hollywood's future." Each has carved a unique path that embodies the "creative fearlessness and cultural impact" that the Micheaux Film Festival aims to celebrate.
The event will be hosted by actor RJ Cyler, with festival ambassadors Lil Rel Howery, Aida Rodriguez, and Kinigra Deon in attendance. Courtney L. Branch, the festival's other co-founder, described Gold Night as "a tribute to artistry, perseverance, and the power of representation."
The Micheaux Film Festival will run from October 23 to 26 at The Culver Theater, opening with the world premiere of Tari Wariebi's series "Remember" and the Los Angeles premiere of the documentary "It's Dorothy." The festival will close with the West Coast premiere of Rick Gomez's "She Dances."
