Strahan Hints at Future Retirement Plans

Michael Strahan, currently an anchor for 'Good Morning America' and an analyst for 'FOX NFL Sunday,' has acknowledged that retirement is a thought on his mind, though he has no immediate plans to step away. Appearing on the 'New Heights' podcast, Strahan admitted that while he loves his current roles with FOX and GMA, the extensive work schedule limits his ability to pursue other interests and travel.

He indicated a growing consideration for balancing his life, stating, 'I think at some point I have to look at time lived and time left.' Strahan also expressed a strong interest in dedicating more time to his various business enterprises, such as SMAC Entertainment, a clothing line with JCPenney, and his skincare line, Daily Defense. He finds these ventures as engaging as football once was and believes they can provide him with a sense of accomplishment without feeling entirely retired.

Strahan emphasized that he intends to continue with FOX 'until they throw me off,' but he doesn't envision working there into his eighties. He also offered advice to Jason and Travis Kelce regarding their own potential retirements from the NFL. Strahan previously transitioned from the NFL in 2012 to co-host 'LIVE with Kelly & Michael' from 2012 to 2016, before joining 'Good Morning America.'
