14 Oct
Summary
- Mia Goth accused of kicking background actor in the head during filming
- Lawsuit also alleges wrongful termination of the background actor
- Goth says people can "draw their own conclusions" about the ongoing case

According to a recent report, actress Mia Goth is at the center of a lawsuit filed by a background actor from her upcoming horror film "MaXXXine." The lawsuit, which was filed in January 2024, alleges that Goth intentionally kicked the actor, named James Hunter, in the head during a scene.
Hunter claims he was hired for a minor role as a "Dead Parishioner" and was lying on the ground when Goth allegedly kicked him forcefully in the head as she ran past him. Hunter says he complained to the assistant director about the incident, but that Goth later mocked and taunted him about it in a bathroom. He alleges he suffered a concussion as a result.
The lawsuit also states that Hunter endured additional pain and discomfort from the fake blood used in the scene, which had dried and adhered to his skin and clothing. Furthermore, Hunter claims he was informed he was no longer needed on set for the remaining shoot dates after the alleged assault, leading him to file wrongful termination claims against the film's director, Ti West, and production company, A24.

When asked about the lawsuit, Goth declined to comment directly, stating, "I'm unable to speak to any of that at the moment, but I think if anyone was to do a simple search, they would see what the facts are. They can draw their own conclusions. It's still an ongoing process."
"MaXXXine" is the highly anticipated third and final installment in West's horror trilogy starring Goth, following the director's previous two entries, "X" and "Pearl," which were well-received when released in 2022.
