In a recent episode of the TLC series "Sister Wives," Meri Brown, the first wife in the polygamous Brown family, reflected on the emotional challenges she faced as her husband Kody added more wives to their marriage. Meri, who legally married Kody in 1990, confessed that she was not prepared for the jealousy and self-doubt that came with sharing her husband with other women.
"I knew that I would have [an] emotion about it when somebody did finally come into the family. And I did," Meri, now 54, recalled. "I didn't handle myself the best all the time." She admitted to being "very jealous" and questioning whether she was "living polygamy wrong."
