First Lady Melania Trump hosted a private dinner and screening at the White House for approximately 70 guests. The event, held on a Saturday in the East Room, featured notable attendees such as director Brett Ratner, Queen Rania of Jordan, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Zoom CEO Eric Yuan. This exclusive gathering took place despite an impending snowstorm.
The Amazon-funded film, reportedly costing $59 million, covers Melania Trump's life from the 2025 presidential campaign through to inauguration day. Sources indicate that director Brett Ratner spent months at Mar-a-Lago during filming. The movie is set to premiere nationwide on January 30th, following a VIP premiere at the Kennedy Center on January 29th.
For the screening, a make-shift theater was constructed in the East Room, equipped with state-of-the-art sound and film equipment overseen by Ratner. Guests received commemorative popcorn boxes and framed tickets. A full military band performed "Melania's Waltz," a song composed for the film, and other movie scores.
