Meghan Trainor has shed light on her relationship with Ashley Tisdale following a publicized 'toxic' mom group fallout earlier this year. Trainor conveyed sympathy for Tisdale, stating she felt bad that the situation caused her sadness and that miscommunication likely played a role. The 'Made You Look' singer also shared that Tisdale had reached out to apologize for Trainor's name being drawn into the drama.

Tisdale had earlier detailed her experience of feeling excluded and experiencing 'mean-girl behavior' within her mom friend group, which she ultimately decided to leave. Trainor admitted she has not seen her mom friends, including Tisdale, in quite some time, joking about being a 'bad mom friend.' Tisdale's essay described instances of being left out of group texts and hangouts, and feeling 'frozen out' at dinner parties.

In addition to Trainor, the group involved was thought to include Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore. Trainor has been focused on promoting her upcoming seventh album, 'Toy With Me,' and its accompanying tour. She also recently welcomed her third child, a daughter named Mikey Moon Trainor, born via surrogate in January 2026, stating surrogacy was the safest option for growing her family.
