Ex-Suits Co-Star: Meghan's Acting Return Set
23 Mar
Summary
- Meghan Markle poised for acting return, says former co-star.
- Eric Roberts believes her comeback will surprise many.
- Reports indicate a shift in her Netflix production deal.

Veteran actor Eric Roberts, a former co-star of Meghan Markle on Suits, has exclusively revealed that the Duchess of Sussex is poised for a return to acting. Roberts, alongside his wife Eliza, believes Markle's comeback will be spectacular and exceed expectations.
Speaking at a charity gala on March 15, 2026, Roberts, who played Charles Forstman on the show, shared his insights. Eliza Roberts suggested that Markle's previous on-screen presence, characterized as 'very sexy' for her role as paralegal Rachel Zane, may have been a point of concern for the Royal Family, leading to her departure from the series.
Eliza emphasized that while Markle pursued philanthropic endeavors, her inherent talent and desire for acting remain strong. "She is a young woman who needs to be acting," Eliza stated, asserting Markle's innate 'star quality' will ensure her success.
This speculation follows recent reports about a significant adjustment to Markle's Netflix deal, which has reportedly been downgraded from an exclusive $100 million production agreement to a first-look arrangement. Previously, the couple's $20 million Spotify deal also concluded after only one podcast, and a planned Netflix animated series, Pearl, was canceled.
Roberts, who has appeared in over 800 films, described Markle as a "really cool person" and a "good mom." He and Eliza, who have known Markle since before her relationship with Prince Harry, believe the royal couple would support her career transition back to Hollywood. They also hinted at the possibility of a Suits reunion project, suggesting there is "magic there" with the original cast.
