Meghan and Harry Honored for Mental Health Advocacy at NYC Gala

On October 9, 2025, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a rare public appearance in New York City, attending the annual Project Healthy Minds' World Mental Health Day Gala. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived hand-in-hand at the event, with Meghan wearing a sleek black Armani suit and Harry in a classic black ensemble.

The couple is set to receive the Humanitarians of the Year Award at the gala, which is being presented to them for their work to build a safer and more equitable online world for families and youth, as well as their contributions to advancing mental well-being globally. Harry and Meghan co-founded The Archewell Foundation in 2020, with a mission to "show up, do good," and launched The Parents' Network as a key project at the 2023 World Mental Health Day Festival.

The Parents' Network is a community that supports families whose children have been affected by social media harms, including those who have lost a child or experienced near-fatal incidents due to online dangers. Since its launch two years ago, the initiative has expanded across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., demonstrating the impact of community-driven healing and support.

As parents to two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been moved to action by the stories of the families they work with and are honored to support them through this important work.
