Country Star Megan Moroney's Debut Album Tops Charts

Megan Moroney is celebrating a major career milestone as her latest album, "Cloud 9," has debuted at the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks her first album to achieve this top ranking.

Moroney recently brought her signature style and music to late-night television, performing the album track "Medicine" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Her performance featured a full band and was set against a pink-themed stage designed to resemble a "Cloud 9 Pharmacy."

The album's chart success was announced on March 2, when "Cloud 9" officially claimed the top spot, surpassing J. Cole's "The Fall-Off." Moroney expressed immense gratitude to her fans for their support, calling their embrace of the album a dream come true.

This chart feat also signifies a historic moment for country music. On March 2, as "Cloud 9" hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks the first instance where women in country music have simultaneously topped both major charts, and only the fifth time any two country artists have achieved this dual dominance.
