A new hybrid live-action and animated series, "Megan and Cupcake Ready for Preschool," is set to debut on Disney Jr. and stream on Disney+ later this Fall. The show features "Sesame Street" puppeteer Megan Baptist alongside her new sidekick, Cupcake. They will host a series of playful, hands-on adventures designed to foster confidence and curiosity in preschoolers.
The series is set in the WOW Workshop, described as an invention lab and playhouse filled with gadgets and imagination. Together, Megan and Cupcake will guide children at home through these activities. Ten one-minute introductory shorts are rolling out on Disney Jr.'s YouTube channel starting today, offering viewers a preview before the main series premiere.
Additionally, longer-form shorts themed around specific learning and play concepts will also premiere on Disney Jr. and Disney+ this Fall. These will feature live-action segments with Megan and Cupcake integrated with existing "Ready for Preschool" shorts. This new offering joins Disney Jr.'s lineup of early learning programming, which includes titles like "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and "Gracie's Corner."
