Medium Build's Sober Reckoning: From Chaos to Chart.

Medium Build's Nick Carpenter has released his sixth studio album, "King of Fun," chronicling a challenging period of battling alcohol and the overwhelming attention that accompanied his career surge. After a near-fatal realization in late 2024, Carpenter committed to sobriety, transforming his experiences into music.

The new album represents a significant departure, aiming to authentically capture the band's live performance energy. Recorded with his touring band and producer Paul Rogers, it blends rock, country, and blues elements while remaining rooted in folk.

"King of Fun" also explores the complexities of a past relationship with singer-songwriter Annika Bennett, with tracks like "Thank You Cook" stemming from their separation. Carpenter and Bennett have since reconciled and are together again.

Carpenter is now approaching touring with a focus on learning and gaining knowledge, aiming to understand the industry's varied approaches rather than relying on perceived blueprints. He has upcoming headlining dates and continues to collaborate.
