Mechanic's Dilemma: Restoring Classic Car and Battling Competitor's Fancy New Shop

As of October 8, 2025, the film 'Maintenance Required' is currently streaming on Prime Video. The 1-hour 43-minute movie revolves around Charlie, who runs a family-owned and female-led mechanic shop. Charlie's two main dilemmas are that she is single and wants to repair a vintage car that was bought for her by her father.

Charlie finds an online confidant in Beau, a fellow car enthusiast, and the two bond over their shared passion for vintage cars and finding their true calling in life. However, Charlie soon realizes that Beau is actually her new business rival, as he has opened a fancier and upgraded car repair shop just around the corner from her small business.

The film explores the struggles of local businesses when faced with competition from multinational giants, as well as the unexpected twists and turns of an online romance that unexpectedly becomes an offline rivalry. Despite the chemistry between the lead characters, the film's many intertwining plots result in an overall messy and emotionally underwhelming experience for the audience.
