McConaughey & Harrelson: Brothers or Best Friends?

Apple TV+ has announced the premiere date for its new comedy series, Brothers, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The show will debut on September 23, with subsequent episodes releasing weekly until November 4.

McConaughey and Harrelson, who are also executive producers, portray themselves as best friends whose bond is tested by a discovered secret: they may be related. The premise unfolds as Woody, dealing with his daughter's wedding fallout, visits Matthew's Texas ranch with his family for an extended stay.

The situation escalates when Matthew's mother, Ma Mac, reveals a long-hidden truth about the possibility of the friends being brothers. Amidst Woody's investigation into this revelation, Matthew faces his own identity crisis, considering a potential run for Governor of Texas. The series explores themes of friendship, family, fame, and the nebulous nature of truth.

The ensemble cast includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe, and Holland Taylor as Ma Mac. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, with Lee Eisenberg serving as showrunner. Trent O'Donnell is among the directors.
