The original novel introduced "the Flock," a group of six genetically enhanced individuals who escape a lab. The book became a number-one New York Times bestseller and was later adapted into a film.
While the main series concluded in 2009, Patterson revisited the world with "Hawk" in 2020, followed by "City of the Dead" in 2021, focusing on Max's daughter.
The collector's edition of "Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment" will be available on November 16, 2026, with preorders now open.
