Jay Weinberg, formerly of Slipknot, has recently made guest appearances with the Australian band. King Gizzard had hoped to have Jay join them again in Queens, but he was unavailable. To continue the tradition, Jay contacted his father, Max Weinberg.
Max Weinberg, renowned for his work with Bruce Springsteen and Conan O'Brien, drove from Atlantic City to join King Gizzard. He stepped onstage and performed as a second drummer for an extended version of the band's song 'Hot Water'. The band's run at Forest Hills Stadium concluded on Saturday night, with subsequent shows planned in Brooklyn.
