In the upcoming six-part streaming series 'The Death of Bunny Munro,' BAFTA and Emmy-nominated actor Matt Smith takes on the lead role of Bunny Munro, a slippery door-to-door salesman who finds himself saddled with his young son, Bunny Junior, following the tragic death of his wife by suicide.
Grieving and struggling with his own sex addiction, Bunny decides to take Bunny Junior on a road trip across southern England, an area familiar to the series' executive producer, acclaimed musician Nick Cave. As the two navigate their grief in very different ways, the trip spirals into an increasingly out-of-control adventure, as hinted at in the recently released trailer.
The series, based on Cave's 2009 novel of the same name, features an original score by Cave and his longtime collaborator Warren Ellis. With its dark comedic tone and gritty exploration of the father-son dynamic, 'The Death of Bunny Munro' promises to be a compelling and unique addition to the streaming landscape.
