- The real Annabelle doll resides in the museum.
Comedian Matt Rife, known for his stand-up and viral videos, has purchased the former home and Occult Museum of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Connecticut property, bought in August 2025 for $1 million, notably houses the real Annabelle doll. Rife announced his role as the legal guardian of the Warren collection for a minimum of five years.
Rife, alongside YouTuber Elton Castee, acquired the Knollwood Street property through their company, Haunted Homes LLC. While they own the physical building, the collection of approximately 750 artifacts remains under the ownership of Tony and Judy Spera, the Warrens' daughter and son-in-law. The original museum had been closed to the public since 2014 due to zoning restrictions.
Rife has expressed plans to open the property for overnight stays and museum tours, allowing visitors to experience the historic location. His personal interest stems from a long-standing fascination with paranormal stories and horror films, particularly 'The Conjuring' franchise. The Warrens' investigations gained widespread recognition through Hollywood adaptations, cementing their home and museum as significant sites for paranormal enthusiasts.
