Mary Beth Barone, known for her comedic work and upcoming A24 series "Hard Feelings" at Hulu, is set to star opposite Joe Alwyn in the new romantic comedy "Still We Met." This film, loosely based on Barone's personal experiences, will mark her feature screenwriting and acting debut.
Directed by Zackary Drucker, "Still We Met" centers on a young woman who spends an unforgettable night with a charming British stranger in New York. Production for the film is scheduled to begin this fall in New York City. Assemble Media and Irony Point are producing.
Barone expressed excitement about contributing to her favorite genre and praised the production team and director. Joe Alwyn, recently seen in "Hamnet" and "The Brutalist," will play the role of Isaac. Zackary Drucker's previous work includes the Emmy-nominated docuseries "This Is Me."
