See Mars Up Close: Final Chance This Weekend!
28 Feb
Summary
- An art installation featuring NASA imagery of Mars concludes Monday.
- Around 11,000 people have visited the free exhibition so far.
- Future plans include a Sun installation by the same artist next year.

Visitors to the Isle of Man have a final opportunity this weekend to experience the "Mars: From Imagination to Science" art installation. The exhibition, which began on February 7, will conclude its run on Monday at Cathedral Isle of Man in Peel. This unique display features detailed imagery of Mars sourced from NASA.
Organizers report that approximately 11,000 people have visited the free exhibition to date, with many expressing positive feedback. Despite a recent bus drivers' strike impacting school visits, the event has been deemed a success. A series of related events offered further insights into Mars.
Following the success of the Mars installation, and a similar Moon display last year, plans are already in motion to bring another artwork by artist Luke Jerrum, this time depicting the Sun, to the cathedral next year.
