Reality Star's Whirlwind Romance with Hollywood Heartthrob Revealed

In a surprising revelation, Lara Eyre, a contestant on the 2022 series of Married At First Sight, has shared details about her past relationship with Hollywood actor Charlie Hunnam. The two first met in 1999 when Eyre, then 25, was introduced to the 19-year-old Hunnam by soap star Antony Cotton.

The pair's relationship blossomed, with Hunnam even planning to take Eyre with him to America as he attempted to break into Hollywood. However, their romance hit a snag when Hunnam's phone disconnected, and his agent refused to provide Eyre with his new number, leaving her to "accept this is it."

Six months later, Hunnam reconnected with Eyre, and the couple rekindled their romance. Unbeknownst to Eyre, Hunnam had secretly married director Robert Towne's daughter, Katherine, just weeks earlier during a 2am ceremony in Las Vegas. When Eyre confronted Hunnam and his wife, she fled the UK, booking a flight to Japan to escape the situation.

Despite the heartbreak, Eyre holds no ill feelings towards Hunnam, now 45, who has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Morgana McNelis, since 2005. Eyre is now happily dating her childhood sweetheart, Steven Swaisland.
