Maroon 5 Frontman Levine Adds Dramatic Neck Tattoo, Hints at Retiring Ink
7 Nov
Summary
- Levine debuted a new neck tattoo of black roses surrounding an existing piece
- Levine previously hinted at being "done" with tattoos due to the pain
- Levine has been getting tattoos since age 21, including a "Mom" and "Noah" tattoo

As of November 7th, 2025, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, 46, has added yet another tattoo to his extensive collection. Levine recently debuted a new neck tattoo featuring an arch of black roses surrounding an existing large-scale piece that covers the majority of the body part.
Levine revealed the meaning behind the new ink, explaining it as "Roses for the reaper." The tattoo was done by artist Nathan Kostechko of L.A. studio Nathan's Lounge, who also added "some love and life" to Levine's previous neck tattoo last year.
This latest addition may come as a surprise to some, as Levine had hinted just a few months ago that he was "done" with getting more tattoos. In July 2025, the singer told Today.com that a particularly painful sleeve session had persuaded him to retire from the ink. "I covered up my sleeve with another sleeve. Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic," he had said at the time.
However, Levine's passion for tattoos appears to have reignited, as he continues to add to his extensive collection. The Grammy winner has been getting inked since the age of 21, starting with a dove tattoo to represent something "peaceful" on his body. Over the years, he's also been seen with a "Mom" tattoo and one reading "Noah," which is believed to be an ode to his mother's maiden name.
