Marine Turned Bodyguard to Stars

Dustin Folkes, a former Marine who served in Iraq and assisted with tsunami relief in Indonesia, has built a successful career as a bodyguard for global celebrities. After his military service, Folkes found himself uncertain about his next steps before being recruited by a security firm. He has since protected an extensive list of stars, including David and Victoria Beckham, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian.

Folkes attributes his success to effective communication and a high level of awareness, often going beyond standard job descriptions. He believes in maintaining open dialogue with clients, advising them on security matters regardless of their wishes. Although he retired from full-time work last summer, Folkes remains a part-time consultant for select clients.
