Maria Goretti: Motherhood Over Fame, No Regrets

Maria Goretti, wife of actor Arshad Warsi, recently shared her perspective on stepping away from her television career to focus on motherhood. Goretti admitted to missing the financial independence and recognition she experienced as an MTV VJ, stating, "I miss making money." However, she emphasized that the fulfillment derived from her work at the time left her "satiated."

Consciously choosing to be present for her children, Goretti recalled wanting to stay home during their younger years. Now, as her children approach their teenage years, she occasionally questions this decision but affirms she had a "great time." Goretti also discovered a previously unknown introverted side of herself, realizing her confidence on camera was tied to her professional role.

Reflecting on her husband Arshad Warsi's career, Goretti noted that experiencing both immense popularity and periods of struggle provided the couple with a grounded perspective on fame. She recalled times when the measure of success was the number of flowers received on his birthday, contrasting it with his challenging periods where work was scarce. Despite these tough times, she admired Warsi's resilience, stating, "it never made him a bitter person."
