Margaret Qualley has been photographed publicly for the first time since news broke of her separation from estranged husband Jack Antonoff. The "Substance" actress was seen on July 22, filming scenes for a remake of the 1981 supernatural thriller "Possession" in New Jersey.

Qualley, channeling the eerie elegance of original star Isabelle Adjani, donned a dark ensemble and ballet slippers while portraying terror on set. This project reunites "Smile" writer-director Parker Finn with producer Robert Pattinson for the remake of Andrzej Żuławski's film.

The public appearance comes two weeks after reports surfaced suggesting Qualley, 31, and Antonoff, 42, had quietly separated after three years of marriage. Speculation about their marital status heightened when Antonoff attended a wedding without Qualley.

Sources indicated that Qualley initiated the separation, citing busy schedules and distance as contributing factors over the past few years. Despite these issues, Qualley's spokesperson stated on July 10 that rumors of infidelity or trust issues were "categorically untrue," emphasizing the deep mutual respect and care between the couple.
