Rani Mukerji's latest film, Mardaani 3, is experiencing a measured box office run as it enters its second week. On its eighth day, the crime thriller added approximately Rs 1.75 crore to its total, bringing the domestic earnings close to Rs 28.05 crore. This figure is slightly higher than the Rs 26.30 crore earned in its opening week, though the pace has naturally slowed.
Despite a slight dip, the film is performing in line with typical weekday trends. On Friday, overall Hindi occupancy stood at 11.63 percent, with night shows showing the strongest turnout at 17.60 percent. The movie's first-week total was Rs 26.55 crore, a performance that slightly edged out the original Mardaani, which collected Rs 23 crore in its first week. However, it trails behind Mardaani 2's opening week collection of Rs 28.05 crore.
The film, penned by Aayush Gupta, features Rani Mukerji as SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy. She is tasked with investigating the perplexing disappearance of ninety-three young girls over a three-month period. Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad also play significant roles in the narrative.
