Marcus King is releasing "No Room for Blue" this Friday, a companion album to his September 2025 release, "Darling Blue." Recorded in Macon, Georgia, at Capricorn Studios, the new LP emphasizes Southern rock influences.
The album includes alternate versions of songs from "Darling Blue" and new tracks, offering a fuller story. King views both albums as complementary sides of the same narrative, with "No Room for Blue" leaning into the historic Macon studio's sound.
Beyond the music, King candidly discusses the pressures of his public marriage. He highlights the difficulties of navigating online scrutiny and untruths, stressing the importance of private moments like date nights to keep their relationship strong.
The Marcus King Band will embark on a tour in Texas in early May 2026, followed by a coast-to-coast headlining tour. This follows an earlier international tour cancellation due to the Byron Bay Bluesfest's cancellation.
