The roster includes Owain Astles, Sara Boutorabi, Mariano Dongo, Roxy Moskowitz, and Leon Ristov, all hailing from diverse backgrounds and representing the global nature of the fellowship.
Since its founding in 2009, the Marcie Bloom Fellowship has nurtured over 85 filmmakers from more than 20 countries. Many of these fellows have gone on to present their first feature films at leading international festivals, including Sundance, Berlin, and Cannes. The program has also supported filmmakers who have worked on acclaimed TV series and even ventured into Broadway productions.
The fellowship's impressive track record includes recent Cannes Camera d'Or winners Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic and Hasan Hadi, whose films "Murina" and "The President's Cake" were acquired by major distributors. Hadi's film was also recently announced as Iraq's official submission to the 2026 Academy Awards.
