Born Marcia Hoffman on November 25, 1940, in Manila, Burrs displayed a passion for performance from an early age. She honed her craft through drama studies and began her career in New York City, taking on roles in commercials, soap operas, and theater.
Relocating to California after marrying Joseph Edward Bures, she adopted the stage name Marcia Burrs. Her extensive television credits include guest appearances on "Moonlighting," "Gilmore Girls," "Grey's Anatomy," and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." She also appeared in films such as "Rumor Has It" and "The Bling Ring."
Burrs was perhaps most recognizable for her heartwarming performance as Mrs. Claus in Hallmark's "Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus" and its sequel. Despite her numerous screen roles, her family noted that her "favorite role was Mom," a title she cherished above all.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Martin and Diana Fuller, grandsons Grant Joseph Fuller and Talon James Hartsell Fuller, and two brothers and a sister. Her husband preceded her in death.
