Marc Resteghini, through his banner Jack Tar Pictures, has inked a three-year extension for its TV overall deal and first-look film agreement with Amazon MGM Studios. This development comes shortly after the March 4th release of the Prime Video series "Young Sherlock," for which Resteghini served as an executive producer.
Resteghini, who has been associated with Amazon for over 12 years, stated his commitment to the partnership under the current leadership. He looks forward to producing more acclaimed projects for the streamer, building on the success of "Young Sherlock."
The extended agreement will see Resteghini continue to develop and produce both television and feature films. His upcoming projects include an animated series adaptation of Tui T. Sutherland's "Wings of Fire" books, a film adaptation of Lauren Oliver's novel "The Girl in the Lake," and a series inspired by Billy Joel's music.
Prior to establishing Jack Tar Pictures, Resteghini spent nearly a decade as a senior creative executive at Amazon, where he contributed to the development of notable series such as "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and "Jack Ryan." He departed in 2022 as the head of U.S. and global television development.
