Summary
- Kishore Shahane juggled multiple projects during her early marriage
- Continued working through pregnancy, following doctor's advice
- Wrapped up commitments before delivery to focus on health

In November 2025, Kishore Shahane, a renowned Marathi actress, looks back on the early years of her marriage as a whirlwind of activity. Just a few months after her wedding in December 1993, Shahane found herself expecting her first child while still juggling multiple projects.
At the time, Shahane had already established herself as a prolific actress, having worked in around 40-45 Marathi films, a few Hindi projects, and several TV serials and advertisements. "When I got married, I was in the middle of so many projects," she recalls. "There was a film going on, a serial shooting, and my movie Bomb Blast with Ronit Roy, directed by my husband Deepak Balraj, had just released."
Despite her busy schedule, Shahane continued working through her pregnancy, following her doctor's advice to take basic precautions. "I even did a dance number in a Marathi film while pregnant. The choreographer planned it so I didn't have to move much," she says. By the seventh month, her doctor finally advised her to rest. "He told me, 'You'll start working again after delivery, so take a break now.'" Shahane wrapped up her remaining commitments and focused on her health.
Looking back, Shahane believes the discipline and energy she maintained during that phase shaped not just her career, but her family life as well. Her ability to balance her professional and personal responsibilities during a time of significant life changes is a testament to her remarkable resilience and dedication.
