29 Jan
Summary
- Mankatha re-release is yet to cross 15 crore worldwide.
- Film earned 12 lakh domestically on day 6, totaling 10.34 crore.
- It's projected to be third highest Kollywood re-release opening week.

The re-release of the Tamil action thriller Mankatha has experienced a considerable dip after an initially strong opening, failing to reach the 15 crore mark globally. While the film garnered over 4 crores on its opening day and maintained momentum through the weekend, subsequent days saw larger than anticipated drops.
As of its sixth day, Mankatha's re-release earned 12 lakh domestically, bringing its total Indian net collection to 10.34 crore (12.2 crore gross). The international performance also fell below expectations, with a gross collection of 1.3 crore. This brings the cumulative worldwide gross for the first six days to 13.5 crore.
Despite its current performance, Mankatha's re-release is set to achieve the third-highest opening week gross among Kollywood re-releases globally, projected to finish just below 14 crores. This places it behind the record-holding Padayappa's first-week gross of 16 crore.
