Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco recently shared his reaction to being parodied on Saturday Night Live by Marcello Hernandez. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Maniscalco admitted he found the impression "pretty good" and felt flattered by the attention, though he jokingly remarked about his depicted gray hair. He noted that Hernandez had contacted him before the show, and Maniscalco even considered a cameo.
Maniscalco confirmed that the impression was not mean-spirited, describing it as a "loving" compliment. Drew Barrymore, a former SNL host, agreed that such parodies can be a great honor when done with affection. This exchange led Maniscalco to express his long-held ambition to host Saturday Night Live himself.
Maniscalco playfully suggested to Barrymore that she could help him achieve his goal of hosting the iconic sketch show. Barrymore, who has hosted SNL six times, enthusiastically endorsed him, stating he would be "so amazing" in the role. The interaction highlighted a mutual respect and a potential future for Maniscalco on the SNL stage.
