Summary
- Restored Manchester Town Hall windows transformed into jewellery.
- Jewellery crafted from original and replacement stained glass fragments.
- Profits from the collection will support a local charity.

Fragments of coloured glass salvaged from the windows of Manchester Town Hall have been transformed into exquisite jewellery. Jeweller Lin Fletcher created a collection of earrings, pendants, and cufflinks from the stained glass, repurposing waste from the town hall's extensive restoration.
The Grade-I listed Victorian building has been undergoing a significant restoration project, estimated to cost approximately £520m, and has been closed since 2018. Fletcher's innovative project utilizes both fragments of the original 1878 glass and off-cuts from the authentic replacement glass installed during the works.
This collection is described as "wearable art that celebrates Manchester's heritage." Profits generated from the sale of the jewellery will be donated to the Lord Mayor's charity, We Love MCR. This initiative allows people to own a tangible piece of the city's history, preserving the legacy of the iconic town hall.
