Warner Widow Sues Mother-in-Law Over Trust Funds

Tenisha Warner, the widow of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, has initiated legal proceedings against her mother-in-law, Pamela Warner. The lawsuit, filed on July 20, 2026, asserts that the late actor did not meet his financial obligations as stipulated in their prenuptial agreement. As the trustee of the Warner Family Trust, Pamela Warner is now the target of the claim for over $1.2 million.

The legal action details several alleged breaches of the agreement. According to the suit, Malcolm-Jamal Warner committed to maintaining a $1 million life insurance policy with Tenisha as the sole beneficiary, a promise she claims was not fulfilled. Furthermore, she alleges that other promised payments, including annual tax-free sums and contributions to a Roth IRA, were also neglected before his passing.
