Mahhi Vij Lost Kareena Kapoor's Role in Yuva!

Mahhi Vij, a contestant on Bigg Boss 20, recently shared details about her early career struggles and near misses in Bollywood. Vij recalled being selected by acclaimed director Mani Ratnam for his 2004 film 'Yuva', a role that ultimately went to Kareena Kapoor. She also mentioned being considered for a role opposite Vivek Oberoi in the same film, but stated that "equations thodi kharab ho gayi thi" (equations had soured) with someone.

Initially moving to Mumbai, Vij found early success in music videos, including the hit "Tu Tu Hai Wahi." She also worked in South Indian cinema before her Bollywood prospects faded. Following the cancellation of two or three more film projects after her 'Yuva' setbacks, Vij decided to pursue a career in television.

Vij eventually carved out a successful niche in Hindi television, gaining widespread recognition for her portrayals of Nakusha in 'Laagi Tujhse Lagan' and Nandini in 'Balika Vadhu'. Her television journey also included participation in reality shows like 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', and 'Nach Baliye 5', which she won.
