In a groundbreaking move, JioStar has partnered with Collective Media Network to launch India's first AI-enabled series based on the epic Mahabharat. Titled "Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh", the series is set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 25.
The series is a reimagination of the beloved Mahabharat, aiming to bring the timeless tales to life through the power of modern AI technology. According to Vijay Subramaniam, founder and group CEO of Collective Artists Network, the Mahabharat has long been a formative part of India's cultural fabric, shaping the imagination and values of generations. With this AI-powered adaptation, viewers will get to experience the classic stories in a completely new way.
Alongside the JioHotstar release, the series will also air on Star Plus starting October 26 at 7:30 pm. Kevin Vaz, CEO of entertainment at JioHotstar, emphasized that the project is a celebration of the fusion between tradition and technology, proving that India's most revered stories can still be the most futuristic.
